| The disciplinary panel considered twenty-one incidents from the weekends Round Twelve Super League matches. Video evidence was viewed from five of the six games with just the Saints v. Widnes game being given the 'all clear'.
Salford will be breathing a sigh of relief as they escaped any further charges to add to their suspension and injury worries, and only two players were effected by the three charges which the committee have deemed require further action.
Adam Milner of Castleford Tigers has been charged with 'striking with the shoulder' in their game against Salford Red Devils. The grade B offence carries a tariff of 1-2 games and with an Early Guilty Plea (EGP) available, Milner plead guilty and accepted a one game suspension missing his sides home fixture against the Dragons on Sunday.
The other two charges have both been brought against the same player, Hull FC's Mickey Paea, and both for the same type of offence.
In the game against the Giants Paea has been charged with raising the knees in a tackle in the 12th minute against Mullally, and the 67th minute against Lawrence. Both are Grade B offences and each carries a potential suspension of 1-2 games meaning that if Paea is found guilty of both he could face up to four games out.
Update; Mickey Paea received a two game suspension covering both offences. |
