| That was one of the most complete performances I've seen from Fax in years - while several players were exceptional there were no weak links. The quality and ferocity of the defence from the first minute completely nullified what on paper was a good Oldham side - we then took nearly every chance we created. Could pick out highlights from just about every player- Whitby was obviously fantastic guiding the team around, but in those first 10 minutes he also showed his commitment with some excellent defence. Nofoaluma was absolutely stunning in everything he did - you wouldn't believe it was the same player who debuted there a few months ago and looked completely lost. Brandon Douglas led from the front again but every forward contributed totally dominating the Oldham pack so that their halves were completely anonymous. Doubt we'll ever see Whitby again after thos season- would love to be able to hang onto Alfie Johnson who is getting better and better JWH apparently failed his HIA - as there's 9 days before next game does he still have a chance of playing? Perhaps biggest compliment should be for our coach - can't remember seeing team spirit like that since John Pendlebury"s time.

| Agree with everything above , the last few seasons we've played some good rugby at times especially a spell with grix but they were always riddled with stupid penalties and errors . Things fell in place team selection wise and eastmond as obviously instilled an incredible team spirit within the side, lets enjoy the ride its nice to have some positive stuff to talk about.

| Not been to many games 2nd half of the season due to having a poorly wife however that last night was class.
I was critical of Kyle mid season mainly due to playing JWH at 6 instead of 1 but it's working now with Noafoaluma who is pure class.
I was reading on Oldham's forum where a poster said Fax are the best team they have played and that we would have beaten both York and Bradford last.
Do we dare dream?

| Absolutely we can dream yes York are the best team in the comp so far this season and have the trophies to prove it but this is playoff rugby where anything can happen on the day. As for last night what a great night for the club it was a cracking atmosphere from the Fax fans and the players responded with a brilliant performance to win in a manner i do not think many saw coming. Full credit to Kyle his staff and the players for making it a great night to be a Fax fan on to York we go. Up the FAX.

| What a performance , what a night. Ten minutes of committed and enthusiastic defence followed by 70 minutes of near perfect rugby league . Just about every time we attacked me made something of it. Our pack totally bossed the game with every one of them putting in a top drawer spell. I thought our centres had their best games for a while, Crooks was amazing with his defence and Alfie made yards after contact time and again. Whoever thought to bring David Nofualuma to the club deserves a medal. After a slow start he shows his class week after week. What can I say about George Whitby. Only nineteen, he controlled the game as if this was his hundredth game. We have been privileged to watch a star in the making, I was sat amongst a cohort of Oldham fans and to say they were stunned into silence does not convey how they felt. Gutted I think. On top of an amazing game of rugby, to finish it off Fairbank strips back the years, puts on some footwork and outpaces everyone over at least 80 metres. I hope we can repeat this performance and stun York in the same way. I wish that Saints let us keep Whitby for two more games.

| All things are relative but that was the best / most complete performance in every area of the park by any Fax side regardless of the era.
