Sam was brilliant today, 3 tries one from the kick-off length of the field, one close in and one chip and catch. He played for less than an hour. He seems to have everything, the Skolars should be able to improve next year with his ability.
I agree that he was a class act for Skolars today (they won 68-22). In fact, it is a long time (if ever) since they had anyone with so much flair and so many ideas.
It wouldn't be wise to read too much into one game against Gateshead, who are probably the only team in the competition weaker than Skolars, but if this really is a sign of what he can do week in week out, I would be surprised if he would be happy to continue playing at that level. Maybe he is putting himself in the shop window and hoping a bigger club (Quins?) comes along.
