Thanks for this weeks diary Wilf, it was a hard one to read because for me there was nowt to look forward to, it seems we've hit some sort of stagnation point in the seasons proceedings.
Wilf I dont think I have been as apprehensive about the conclusion to a season and the start of another for many years.We started our schooling at the Boulevard at almost the same time although I did get to Maine rd, Odsal and Wembley in 59.Like you I have seen many ups and downs but I truly believe if we do not sign a replacement for Watts and another proper 2nd rower we will be in all sorts of trouble.
Lee has been behind the team all season but even he must be thinking with the forwards we now have and the way they are walked over that next season will see us fall further behind the top teams who are recruiting no doubt whilst I type this.Given an influx of the above I think it would be safe to say we would do well,failure will I.M.O. see us fall further behind the trophy hunters.There are at least 5 players in the squad who have had regular games who are not good enough to play for a team hoping to win cups.
